Description

These bulbs will grow into plants that have red leaves and pink flowers. BUT please overwinter these bulbs. Do NOT plant them outdoors until spring. Instructions: Every fall, these need to be removed from the soil and put in the basement until next year. So at this time, let them sit in a cool spot in the basement. Plant your Canna Lily rhizomes (a type of root acting like a bulb) outdoors from late spring to early summer after the danger of frost has passed. They can also be started indoors in pots as early as a month before the average last frost date for those with shorter growing seasons. When potting them in advance of moving them outdoors, leave at least two eyes just above soil level. Then you can put them in a warm sheltered place, like a garage until ready to put them outdoors when there is no chance of frost. You can plant them in a larger container that you put into the ground or directly in the ground. Give them lots of space to grow in the sunny location. And next fall remove them from the soil and put in the basement again. No refunds.
