Garden Ontario WeekBUS TRIP to Whistling Gardens

The date of this trip coincides with the blooming of the largest public collection of peonies in North America, located at Whistling Gardens!

 

 

Bus Stops:


William Dam Seeds (www.DamSeeds.ca), in Dundas, offering:

  • A wide selection of vegetable and flower seeds (and possibly some seedlings), including organic varieties and blight-resistant tomatoes
  • Gardening supplies like seeding trays, soil mixes, tags, tools, pest controls, and fertilizers
  • Beautiful Trial Gardens and friendly/knowledgeable staff


Whistling Gardens (www.WhistlingGardens.ca), near Brantford, where we will enjoy:

  • A guided tour of the nearly 18-acre property that Darren Heimbecker has passionately created
  • Lunch, consisting of a marvellous catered selection of salads, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks
  • More than 1,000 varieties of peonies, many anticipated to be in full bloom during our visit
  • More than 2,500 varieties of conifers, including unusual and rare species, hybrids and cultivars
  • Dancing water fountains, exotic birds, a full nursery, and more!


Northland Nursery (www.NorthlandNursery.com), in Millgrove, offering:

  • More than 150,000 flowering shrubs, perennials, daylilies, ornamental grasses, hostas, shrub roses, clematis, vines, hardy lilies, and evergreens
  • All packaged in 1-gallon nursery containers and priced at $6.99 each

 

 

Tickets:

  • $99 each for society members
  • $109 for guests and non-society members

Ticket price includes motor coach transportation; venues as outlined above; lunch at Whistling Gardens; all taxes; HST and driver’s tip.


 

Bus Departure and Return:

Our luxury coach bus departs at 8:15 a.m. from the Elgin West Community Centre at 11099 Bathurst Street in Richmond Hill, with an approximate return time of 6:00 p.m.

 

Participation is not confirmed until payment is received. Payment is non-refundable unless the bus trip is cancelled by The Richmond Hill Garden & Horticultural Society and/or HNA Travel. A signed Bus Waiver form must be provided to board the bus.
