Topic: Gardens as Ecosystems

 

Martin will share his fascination with gardens as biologically diverse ecosystems where there are no good or bad guys. Rather, there are amazing behaviours and competitions between the various life forms that make up and inhabit our gardens.

Martin Galloway, a popular speaker at horticultural events, has dedicated his life to the study and preservation of living things. He has Masters degrees in Environmental Biology and Zoology, and teaches at the University or Toronto and Seneca College.

Exhibits include specimens of flowering and edible plants growing at this time of year, potted plants, and special designs. Refer to the 2015 Yearbook for details. 

 

Attendance at this general meeting is free to members, $5 for non-members.
