Terrarium Design and Maintenance

Terrarium Workshop

Terrariums are fascinating little things - miniature, self-enclosed ecosystems encased in glass. Just imagine: a tiny forest on your desk year-round - always there for your visual and olfactory senses to admire and enjoy – like being in a forest after the rain.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, Floral Designer Kiki Danninger will demonstrate creation of a simple terrarium with supplies you can acquire easily and affordably. Your terrarium will be green and fresh year-round, requiring very little water or maintenance. It will make an excellent conversation piece, companion to your work desk, or an enchanting gift.

In addition to sharing a variety of design ideas, Kiki’s online workshop will cover terrarium maintenance and troubleshooting of potential issues.

About Kiki Danninger:

Kiki is a traveling floral and horticultural designer, specializing in creating living green walls, terrariums, and dish gardens. She enjoys teaching people how to care for their tropical plants and guiding them in creating their own unique bouquets and arrangements.

Society Members: Participation is free to members and instructions will be emailed to active members twice - on the Friday and Monday prior to the workshop. Participation instructions are also available by accessing the Members-Only version of this Event on our website.

Visitors: Guests are welcome to participate in this virtual workshop for a nominal fee of $5. Instructions for participation will be emailed to non-society members who fill out a registration form prior to the meeting start time. Click on the Register button to the left.
