Guest Speaker: Michael WhiteTopic: Oak Ridges Moraine Rejuvenation Michael White, ambassador and coordinator of the annual Oak Ridges Moraine Corridor Park Tree Planting by School Children, will provide us with an update on this local initiative, supported by our society for the last seven years. Michael is a retired ecological landscape architect and educator. Born in wartime England and later immigrating to Canada with his parents, Michael grew up loving nature. Past President of the Richmond Hill Naturalists, he has worked since 1990 to help plan and manage York Region’s development and protect the ecological infrastructure of woodlands, rivers and stream valleys as human populations expand.
