Orchids are a fascinating plant family, having adapted to diverse climatic conditions and pollinators, resulting in an intriguing variety of size, colour and flower form. Terry, who describes her passion for orchids as a “hobby gone wild,” will provide us with an overview of orchid varieties and care.
Terry Kennedy is an accredited judge with the American Orchid Society, vice-chair of the American Orchid Society Toronto Judging Centre; and along with her husband Doug, an avid orchid collector and orchid show competitor. As an added bonus, and just in time for the holiday season, Terry and Doug will offer a selection of orchids and orchid-growing products for sale at tonight's meeting.

Volunteer Committee Expo

The doors open to this evening's General Meeting 30 minutes earlier than usual, providing for a one hour period to enjoy catered refreshments, socialization, and visiting of booths circling the room promoting the activities of our many volunteer committees. This is a great event for members interested in exploring volunteer opportunities and connecting with committee chairs and members.
