The Richmond Hill Garden & Horticultural Society is pleased to announce that Linda Lang, a graduating student of the Richmond Green Secondary School, is the winner of the 2021 Willem Schurman Scholarship, and recipient of the $1,000 bursary. 

Linda is now attending the University of Waterloo, where she is studying environmental engineering and life sciences, pursuing her dream of solving environmental problems through engineering. This educational program includes studies in soil, toxicology, air quality engineering, hydrology, and environmental chemistry. Congratulations, Linda! 

The Willem Schurman Scholarship, named after one of our society’s Past Presidents, is made available each year to a student graduating from any Richmond Hill secondary school. For more information, click here.
